About The Artist’s Realm
The Artist’s Realm was created from a simple idea— that creativity should feel accessible, exciting, and personal.
I wanted to build the kind of space I always wished existed. a place where people of all ages and skill levels could explore art, music, and creative expression without pressure, without intimidation, and without feeling like they had to “get it right.” Too often, creative spaces focus on step-by-step results or cheap materials instead of providing the time and tools necessary for real growth.
The Artist’s Realm is different. This is a space for learning, experimenting, building real skills, and developing your own style. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or looking to grow your skills further, this is a place where you can show up as you are— and leave feeling inspired.
Meet Kait, the Founder & Lead Visual Arts Instructor.
Hi! I’m Kait, the owner and founder of The Artist’s Realm.
I’ve been working professionally as a full-time artist for over eight years now, and teaching for the last five. My career began at a small custom apparel shop in Wesley Chapel before evolving into full-time graphic design and illustration work for major apparel brands across the country. While I absolutely loved building a career as a designer and freelancer, one thing never changed—I always found myself coming back to teaching.
Art has always been a part of my life. I grew up in a family of artists where creativity wasn’t just encouraged—it was celebrated. Some of my earliest memories involve making things, experimenting, solving creative problems, and learning that art wasn’t just something beautiful to look at; it was a way to understand the world and express who you are.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach students of all ages in a variety of settings, including teaching for the tech start-up, Tract, The Lesson Company, and Pinot’s Palette. Every experience taught me something valuable, but I always felt like something was missing.
I kept meeting people who genuinely wanted to learn art and take it seriously, but didn’t know where to begin. Others had been told they “weren’t creative,” or felt intimidated by traditional art education. Many classes focused on copying a project without ever explaining the artistic principles behind it or helping students develop lasting skills.
That’s why I created The Artist’s Realm.
My goal isn’t just to teach people how to paint or draw. It’s to help people discover their own creativity, build confidence in their abilities, and develop skills they’re genuinely proud of. I believe creativity is one of the most meaningful parts of being human, and everyone deserves a place where they feel encouraged to explore it without fear of making mistakes.
Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the very first time or you’ve been creating for years, my hope is that The Artist’s Realm becomes a place where you’re inspired to keep learning, growing, and making art that you’re excited to share with the world.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me exploring nature, collecting interesting rocks, reading, or working on one of the many creative projects I somehow always seem to have going.
I can’t wait to welcome you to the studio and be part of your creative journey.

-
At this time, we do not offer free trial classes.
Our weekly classes follow a month-long curriculum, and many projects take multiple weeks to complete. Because each lesson builds on the previous one, students are enrolled through a monthly membership rather than individual trial classes.
If you’d like to see the studio before enrolling, we’re always happy to schedule a free tour!
-
Our weekly Drawing, Painting, and Homeschool classes are membership-based and are not available as individual drop-in sessions because many projects are completed over multiple class sessions.
If you’re looking for a more flexible option, our Open Studio sessions are available as drop-ins (space permitting) and are perfect for artists who want to work on projects at their own pace.
-
Memberships must be purchased online.
During registration, every student completes important paperwork including emergency contacts, medical information, and studio waivers. Because memberships are automatically billed each month, we require all memberships to be managed through our online registration system.
Cash payments are accepted for select workshops and Open Studio drop-ins.
-
Your first payment is processed when you enroll.
After that, your membership renews automatically on the 1st of each month, covering all classes scheduled during that month’s billing cycle. You may cancel at any time.

No. All students must register online before attending class.
Because many of our classes have limited seating and are already approaching capacity, we cannot guarantee availability for walk-in students. If you arrive without a reservation, there’s a chance the class may already be full.
Registering online also allows us to:
Reserve your seat
Collect emergency contact and medical information
Prepare enough supplies for everyone attending
Ensure we stay within our classroom capacity
We highly recommend reserving your spot as early as possible, especially if you’re enrolling multiple family members.
-
Nothing! Unless otherwise noted, all art materials are included with your membership or workshop.
You are welcome to bring sketchbooks or personal art supplies, but nothing is required.
-
Let us know as soon as possible— Makeup classes will be available depending on class size and instructor availability.
-
Parents are welcome to either stay or drop off.
Depending on class size and seating availability, parents are welcome to wait for their child’s class to end in either our waiting area (open to our art classroom) or in one of our empty classrooms.
